DAY PROGRAMS
One-day field trips for school groups, scout groups, staff
training groups, senior citizens and other adult groups.
Throughout the school year we welcome groups who come for a single day to enjoy the programs we offer. Most of the programs available to our overnight groups are also available to day groups, including Natural History, Colonial Crafts, Adventure Education, Living History, and Seasonal Activities. For those coming to take part in Ashokan program, the day is typically divided into two or three activity periods (one before lunch, two after lunch), depending on transportation issues such as bus departure times at school. Many school groups choose two activity groups with lunch in between. Boxed lunches can be requested in advance for a fee; however, most groups elect to bring their own. Boxed lunches, catered buffet lunch, continental breakfast, or simply tea and coffee can be arranged for groups bringing in their own program.
Day groups have access to our public restrooms, the Pavilion, and the Pewter Shop during breaks and lunch. They do not have access to other facilities on the campus.
