Long-time piano duo partners Sylvia Buccelli and Ruthanne Schempf perform Samuel Barber's Souvenirs, Op. 28, and Wizard of Oz Fantasy, a virtuosic romp through Harold Arlen's film score transcribed by William Hirtz.

The Department of Music continues its season of concerts with an emphasis on music of America. Composers born in America, music that influenced cultural forces in America, and foreign-born composers who used the creative energy of the New World to inspire their music are included in this season's offerings.
