Explore the Underground Railroad through contemporary and traditional music of African Americans. The program includes excerpts from the opera "Harriet Tubman: When I Crossed that Line to Freedom'" as well as "Runagate, Runagate'" "Wade in the Water," "Go Down Moses (Newly commissioned arrangements), "Maple Leaf Rag," and "Songs of Harriet Tubman." Performers include soprano Sumayya Ali, tenor David Hughey, mezzo-soprano Patrice Eaton, the PonÃ© Ensemble for New Music, the Newburgh Free Academy and SUNY New Paltz University Choir.
