Research/Creative Activity
Mimlitsch-Gray has lectured and exhibited her work widely in the US and abroad. Recent shows include: "Raising the Bar ", Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh, Scotland, and Ruthin Craft Centre, Wales; "True Grit: Frames, Fixations and Flirtations" at the McColl Art Center, Charlotte, NC; the solo exhibition, “Force Times Distance”, at the Sienna Gallery, Lenox, Massachusetts. She is a featured speaker at the 2009 Society of North American Goldsmiths conference in Philadelphia.
Awards, Honors & Recognition
She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Individual Artist Fellowships from the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation (1995), the National Endowment for the Arts (1994), and the New York Foundation for the Arts (1997, 2005). In 1998 she was awarded a Chancellor's Medal for Excellence in Teaching at the State University of New York.
