Reunion 2013: Come As You Are!
Sept. 19-23
All alumni are encouraged to reconnect and make new contacts at the largest alumni gathering of the year!
Alumni say the number one reason they attend Reunion is because a classmate or friend asks them. So think about who you'd like to see at New Paltz in September, and then ask them to join you!
All alumni are invited to "come as you are" and participate in their respective academic or affinity events: Business, Education, Fine & Performing Arts, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Science & Engineering, Athletics & Wellness, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Scholar's Mentorship Program (SMP), AMP and C-STEP programs, Black Studies, Latin American & Caribbean Studies, and other programs. Special activities will also honor Class Years ending in 3s and 8s. Of special interest to entertainment and music buffs is a lecture by award-winning author Barbara (Biszick) Lockwood '80.
Reunion is an economical way to reconnect or make new contacts, since it is the single largest gathering of New Paltz alumni at any time of the year. Many activities are offered free of charge, and we've tried to control costs for events where there's a charge. As a result, you can participate in many activities at no cost; however, be sure to register in advance (online registration coming soon!) so we can plan for your participation, including having enough discount coupons and give-away items when you arrive at check-in.
Plans are underway and logistics being finalized, with complete details and the latest information posted online, including which Faculty and Staff members are expected to be in attendance. So be sure to regularly check back here for updates and start "inviting" your friends today!
We very much look forward to your return this fall to SUNY New Paltz. See you in September.
Sincerely,
2013 Reunion Committee
