First World

First World Alumni Activities

The First World alumni steering committee, a group of active volunteers, works collaboratively with the Office of Alumni Relations, the SUNY New Paltz Alumni Association, and the Office of Development and SUNY New Paltz Foundation to conduct programming and outreach for First World alumni. These activities include gifts to SUNYIT Foundation-managed funds that benefit current students and honor the legacy of the late Dr. Margaret Wade Lewis, whose efforts supported students of color during her 36 years as a professor and mentor at SUNY New Paltz.

A number of Alumni Advisory Council members represent First World alumni interests and perspectives within the SUNY New Paltz Alumni Association.
