Irene Berner (2011)
General -- Irene Berner was just elected President of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail Association (WVTRA) for a third term. She is principal of Berner Financial Services, an independent investment and planning firm located in New Paltz. The Wallkill Valley Rail Trail is a 22 mile linear park stretching from Wallkill to Kingston. The next time you visit campus, please check out the Rail Trail, since it's it's located 500 feet from campus.

Proskey Chris (2007)
Career -- Chris Proskey has been inducted into the Society of Flavor Chemists as a certified member. This required a 7 year apprenticeship along with multiple tests and interviews in front of a board of certified flavorists. He now works as a Flavorist at International Flavors and Fragrances.

Harry Cullen (1973, 1973g)
General -- Founded KullQual Enterprises in 1997, a consulting business that supports quality, environmental, and medical waste compliance in San Diego area. Retired from part time college teaching involving the integration of statistics into quality/environmental applications, after 26 years.

Victoria DiStefano (2011)
Career -- Awarded 2014 Young Professional of the Year by Melville Chamber of Commerce.

Kevin Dunning (2001)
Career -- Kevin recently appeared as a Peer in Gilbert & Sullivan's 'Iolanthe' with San Francisco's Lamplighters Music Theatre, a recording of which was lauded as among the 'Top 12 Opera Recordings of 2014" by Opera News. Kevin has been a member of the company since 2008, when he starred as Archibald Crane in the first-ever full revival of the orchestral score of Lucy Simon's 'The Secret Garden' since it opened on Broadway in 1991.

Gay (Norton) Edelman (1973)
Career -- After four decades as a magazine writer and editor, most recently on staff at Family Circle, Gay Norton Edelman has published her first print book, The Hungry Ghost: How I Ditched 100 Pounds and Came Fully Alive. Based on her own recovery from food addiction and compulsive overeating, and on her years of reporting on psychology and spirituality, the book offers eating and weight management strategies anyone can use. Edelman now works primarily as a writing and spiritual life coach.

Judi Esmond Martin (1995, 2010g)
Career -- Is the new owner of Hudson Valley Pottery in Rhinebeck, NY which is a ceramics and pottery school for adults and children.

Stuart (Garber) Garber (1977)
Career -- Dr. Stuart H. Garber DC, PhD has developed a line of condition specific remedies that heal without side effects. Christine Garry (1977)

Career -- Gary S. Graifman ('74), a partner in the law firm Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman, will be a featured speaker at the NJ State Bar Association Annual Meeting on May 14, 2015 in Atlantic City, New Jersey on the panel entitled “Latest Developments in Class Action Litigation.” Mr. Graifman will speak on recent cyber security data breach class actions, including medical data class actions involving Anthem Healthcare and Primera Healthcare. Mr. Graifman is the head of the class action practice at Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman and is currently a member of the Steering Committee on the Home Depot data breach class action.

Faith Hassell (2013)
Career -- Received a Master's in Human Resources Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. this past December. She has been thoroughly enjoying her residence in Washington, D.C. She sends a shout out to all of her New Paltz friends and teachers!

Sara Higgins (1983)
Career -- After 7 years as an artisan food purveyor, Sara has expanded Raspberry Fields Farm, Marlboro, NY into an event venue. She is offering her 150 year old Victorian Italianate homestead for weddings, field trips, and business retreats. Take a tour at

Stephanie (White) Holden (2004)
Wedding -- Stephanie White (Communications & Media 04') married Erik Holden on 12-13-14 .

Albert Hor (2011)
Career -- Albert Hor is currently working as a staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society (Brooklyn Neighborhood Office). He represents low-income families and individuals in eviction proceedings and other housing matters. He received his J.D. from City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law in May 2014, and is admitted to practice law in the state of New York.

Lynn (Johnston) Johnston (1986)
Career -- As publisher and editor of Whispering Angel Books, I am proud to announce the publication of our fifth anthology of inspirational short stories and poetry called "Miracles & Extraordinary Blessings."

Rich Klein (1983, 1983g)
Career -- Rich Klein published his first photography book in late 2014 called Massapequa: A Pictorial History Through The Eyes of Baby Boomers. The self published book features places around Massapequa and Massapequa Park, Long Island that are memorable to the boomer generation. The book sold out quickly after its first printing and has led to three photography exhibits, two that were sponsored by the Town of Oyster Bay and another by the local library.

Melanie Lenci (1999)
Wedding -- Melanie Lenci… had no idea when she graduated SUNY New Paltz how she’d put her degree to good use, but since launching her business, Rsum Relief, back in 2005, her toils have been published in more than one of those chunky best-of resume and cover letter writing guidebooks. As an award-winning LinkedIn profile writer she draws out her clients’ personality and value and presents it with the punch, pizzazz and professionalism that prompts recruiters prospects and potential business partners to take notice. General -- I am Author of the website I write articles on nutrition and psychology that are meant to inspire others to lead long, healthy and happy lives together! Check it out!

Craig McGuire (1994)

Career -- Starting in Fall of 2014, Jim an Instructor of Computer Science at the University of South Dakota.

Rachel Reuben (1998, 2009g)
Career -- I was hired as the Vice President for Communications at Colgate University in July 2014, after serving four year as the Associate Vice President for Marketing Communications at Ithaca College.

Nadine Robbins (1987)
General -- I am currently working on a new series of portraits entitled "Bad Habits and Guilty Pleasures" which will be in a gallery in New York. I'm also working on my oyster paintings for my gallery in Wellfleet. As for graphic design, I'm down to only working on logo design part-time since my painting career is taking hold. My family is doing well. We recently moved outside of Rhinebeck, NY where my now 13 year old son is thriving. I have a new studio space for my painting. My husband and I have been together for almost 27 years. Amazed at how fast time is going. I still keep in touch with the Dave Hyllka and Sue. They are doing well. Sherry Saturno (1996)
General -- Sherry Saturno, Named Highlighted Speaker at Fordham Institute for Women and Girls Powerful Women in Social Work Event Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW, Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Care Coalition in NY, has been named the featured speaker at Fordham Institute for Women and Girls Powerful Women in Social Work Event in New York City on February 19, 2015. Saturno will discuss her documentary short film, "Human Investment", which will be shown at the national American Society on Aging Conference this March. The film explores what drives professionals to invest themselves in care management and to serve a vulnerable population. Saturno holds Master's degrees from Columbia and Long Island Universities, and is a national fellowship recipient at New York University Silver School of Social Work. The Fordham Institute for Women and Girls promotes the well-being of women and girls who experience violence, poverty, and discrimination.

Howard J Seigel (1975, 1975g)
Career -- Howard J Seigel has recently published a short story collection titled "Oblivious." These humorous tales of woe are character driven with a focus on melancholy, misfortune, and the absurd. Search: to view story synopses and excerpts.

Vince Tampio (2011)
Career -- Vince Tampio’s Sophomore Solo Album: SYZYGY REMIX Set to Release November 11, 2014 (Philadelphia, PA October 21, 2014) Vince Tampio self releases SYZYGY REMIX, a collection of music based on his previous album SYZYGY. Utilizing stems from SYZYGY (released January 14, 2014), Vince called upon Philadelphia and New York artists to remix a track of their choice for SYZYGY REMIX. The resulting album features a range of instrumental musical styles including dub reggae, ambient, trance, avant garde, and funk. The eleven tracks featured on SYZYGY REMIX were composed by rearranging instrumental performances originally recorded for SYZYGY. Vince played the majority of those instrumental performances. “Not only have I seen this guy play virtuosic trumpet, but also bass, keyboards, vocals, and guitar, and in a variety of styles.” – Joe Lekkas (Palm Ghosts). When placed in the hands of the remixers, each track donned a new identity. Some of the resulting remixes are quite different from the originals. In addition to composing, performing and recording for SYZYGY REMIX, Vince served as Executive Producer, created the album art/design, and even remixed a track himself. “I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Vince Tampio on stage and in the studio. Vince has superb instincts and musicality that far exceeds his years. Vince is a very strong player and arranger and I have been lucky to work with such a trusted and professional musician.” – John “Heyward” Howkins (Heyward Howkins). Vince Tampio is a trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer/arranger in the Philadelphia and New York regions. He regularly performs and records with Indie rock bands including Palm Ghosts and Heyward Howkins. Also, he is a member of Soul cover band: The York Street Hustle, for which he plays trumpet and arranges horns. Vince has appeared on multiple albums over the past few years including his self produced debut solo album SYZYGY. Eddie Wilders (1999)
