Clayton Aarons (1980)
Career -- Clayton A. Aarons Class of 1980 was recently appointed on September 15, 201, by Governor Martin O'Malley to be an Associate Judge of the District Court of Maryland in Prince George's County, Maryland. Judge Aarons is a proud graduate of New Paltz and of the Howard University School of Law (1983). He is a former public defender and assistant state's attorney in Prince George's County, Maryland.

Joseph Cosentino (2006g)
Career -- Joe Cosentino (MA 2006) has written AN INFATUATION, a romance novella published by Dreamspinner Press, and PAPER DOLL, the first Jana Lane mystery novel published by Whiskey Creek Press. Both take place in the Hudson Valley.

Victoria DiStefano (2011)
Career -- Awarded 2014 Young Professional of the Year by Melville Chamber of Commerce.

Vanessa (Vasadi) Figueroa (2005)
Wedding -- Vanessa Vasadi and Billy Figueroa were married on August 31st, 2014 at Diamonds Mill Tavern in Saugerties, New York. They met at SUNY New Paltz in spring of 2002 and graduated together as class of 2005. Billy Figueroa was a computer science major and now working as a Software Engineer in lower Manhattan. Vanessa Figueroa was a Biology major and now working as a Pharmaceutical Microbiologist for a large company in Germany. Both own small business companies, specializing in technical consulting and they currently live together in upper Manhattan.

Faith Hassell (2013)
Career -- Received a Master's in Human Resources Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. this past December. She has been thoroughly enjoying her residence in Washington, D.C. She sends a shout out to all of her New Paltz friends and teachers!

Haley (Bloom) Herbst (2013, 2013g)
Wedding -- Haley (Bloom) Herbst '13 and Eleazar Herbst '12 were married in Savannah, GA on October 17th 2014. The couple lives in Washington, DC.

Stephanie (White) Holden (2004)
Wedding -- Stephanie White (Communications & Media 04') married Erik Holden on 12-13-14 .

Schrader John David (1997)
General -- John has been excepted into The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences - The Recording Academy is responsible for The Grammys. Based on John's body of work, qualifications, achievements and awards, the recording Academy excepted John on 12/9/14. John can now attend the Grammys and be part of the voting process and submit his own music for a Grammy consideration in the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. Alexander Marrero (2003)

Keisha Parker (2000)
Career -- Keisha recently joined the Philadelphia office of Cruser & Mitchell where she focuses her practice on representing automobile, industrial and commercial equipment manufacturers and distributors in complex litigation and products liability defense matters in federal and state courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Keisha is a 2008 graduate of Villanova University Law School, were she received her Juris Doctor, and a 2010 graduate of Temple University Law School, were she received her Masters of Law in Trial Advocacy. James Perry (2014, 2007g)
Career -- Starting in Fall of 2014, Jim an Instructor of Computer Science at the University of South Dakota.

Sherry Saturno (1996)
General -- Sherry Saturno, Named Highlighted Speaker at Fordham Institute for Women and Girls Powerful Women in Social Work Event Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW, Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Care Coalition in NY, has been named the featured speaker at Fordham Institute for Women and Girls Powerful Women in Social Work Event in New York City on February 19, 2015. Saturno will discuss her documentary short film, "Human Investment", which will be shown at the national American Society on Aging Conference this March. The film explores what drives professionals to invest themselves in care management and to serve a vulnerable population. Saturno holds Master's degrees from Columbia and Long Island Universities, and is a national fellowship recipient at New York University Silver School of Social Work. The Fordham Institute for Women and Girls promotes the well-being of women and girls who experience violence, poverty, and discrimination.

John David Schrader (1997)
General -- Based on his qualifications and achievements in the field of music, John was recently accepted into The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences - The Recording Academy. John is now eligible to attend the Grammys, be part of the voting process and submit his own music for Grammy consideration in the 58th annual Grammy Awards Ceremony in 2015. John plans on submitting his latest CD "21 Summers" in 2015 upon its release. John also continually scores instrumental music for film and television as well and has been featured in front of the camera recently on several films. John was a bad jumped professor in the media production department here at SUNY New Paltz. Johns' last CD "Daylight crashing" garnered a "Certified International Top 100 by the international Association of Independent recording artists for his song 'Shock.' John also married his southern sweetheart soul mate Maridyth Schrader in 2014. John's website: www.johnschrader.com

Kim Sealy (1990)
Career -- Kim Sealy was announced Publisher of the bimonthlies Fit Pregnancy and Natural Health owned by America Media Inc, June 2014. She joins from Working Mother magazine, where her eight years culminated with her being promoted to Publisher prior to leaving. Sealy's work has won praise as a "proven leader with an extraordinary track record of leveraging all brands assets to the benefit of its community and partners. She is the second African-American women in recent memory to be publisher of non-endemic magazines. Earlier in her career, Sealy held management and sales positions at Teen People and Johnson Publishing Co.

Alita (McCoy) Zuber (1994, 1997g)
Career -- Congratulations to the 2014 Pinnacle Award recipients! The Pinnacle Awards recognize outstanding practices and new ideas that result in significant contributions for school districts and the profession of school business management. Pinnacle of Excellence Award Recipient Alita McCoy Zuber Assistant Superintendent for Business Ossining Union Free School District Ossining, NYHow Deliberative Decision Making Leads to Improved Community Engagement Recognizing the importance of community trust and engagement in the success of a district’s efforts to improve student achievement, Zuber met with representatives of key stakeholder groups and developed concise, constant, and cohesive themes to educate each group about the financial problems facing the community. These targeted messages helped community members understand the challenges facing the district, which led to community trust and engagement. Even the harshest critics became partners.
