Visiting on Your Own

While it is much better to participate in a scheduled information session/campus tour, we know that circumstances sometimes prevent the scheduling of this.

  • Hours
The Office of Undergraduate Admission and all other campus offices are open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year, and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. during winter and summer sessions. The office of Undergraduate Admission is closed on some select Federal and State Holidays. Please call in advance to see if our office is open.
  • Audio Tour
Have an iPod or MP3 player? Download our self-guided walking tour narration. The 50 tracks follow the self-guided tour booklet available in the Office of Undergraduate Admission, and consists of the 50 stops throughout the campus.

  • Parking Permits Required
During the academic year, Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., all visitors must obtain a "Visitor's Parking Permit" from the Welcome Center or a park and pay machines at the West Entrance/Hawk Drive. The permit will cost $2.00. The permit will allow you to park in any lot not designated for residents only. Vehicles without a valid permit or not parked in proper areas will be ticketed. Weekend visitors do not need a parking permit.
  • Visit Limitations
Please keep in mind that one of our objectives is to maintain a safe and secure campus. For that reason, you will not have access to our residence halls. Additionally, not all academic buildings and facilities may be available for your viewing. If you would like to attend a class or two, you must make prior arrangements through the particular academic department. (View our online directory for contact information.)
