Second Degree Candidates
An individual who has already attained a bachelor's degree is considered a Second-Degree Candidate and must apply as a transfer student following the transfer admission guidelines.
In addition to the stated admission criteria, the policy for admission as a Second Degree Candidate includes:
- The intended major of the second degree must be substantially different from the first degree so as to constitute a new major.
- Second Degree Candidates receive a maximum of 90 credits in transfer and are considered to have met all lower division requirements for the second bachelor's degree. The number of liberal arts and upper division will be based on credits taken in the first degree.
- Second Degree Candidates must complete the entire major as determined by the chairperson of the department.
- A residency requirement of 30 credits is mandatory.
