When looking for a college Renee was looking for a school that had both a strong education program and strong theatre program.  SUNY New Paltz fit that bill. It was also a mid-sized school which, was just the right fit for her. She knew she made the right choice when she attended summer orientation and had an amazing time. She says the orientation experience truly eased her transition to her first year of college. Her experience was so amazing that she decided to become an Orientation leader this summer to help others through the same experience. As an Education major Renee feels that the faculty have helped her see why education is the right place for her, and her theater faculty have helped her nurture the passion she has for drama.
