The New Paltz General Education Board
Sub-committee of the Curriculum Committee
The Board, which was created in 2002, is charged with the ongoing oversight of the general education program. Our tasks have included: developing course approval guidelines, assisting faculty with GE course development, reviewing and assisting faculty members with GE course assessment plans, and reviewing assessment results with an eye toward GE program improvement. Throughout we have worked closely with relevant offices on campus to provide opportunities for faculty development and mentoring.
